Titan AI Choose how much thinking a question gets
Light, Balanced and Deep sit next to Send, so a quick question comes back fast and heavy work gets more time.
Not every question needs the same amount of work. The picker to the left of Send sets how long Titan AI thinks before it answers.

Balanced is what you get until you change it, so you can ignore this page entirely and nothing about your chats changes.
The setting stays where you leave it
The level is saved to your account rather than to one chat. It carries over to every new chat and to every device you sign in on, so a quick question asked tomorrow still waits as long as the heavy review you picked Deep for. Move it back when the heavy work is done.
This is the part people are most often caught by. Starting a new chat does not reset it, and neither does signing out.
When Deep is worth it
Deep is not a quality switch to leave on. It buys more thinking on work that rewards thinking, and on a short factual question it mostly buys you a longer wait.
Reach for it when the answer depends on holding several things together at once: a full account review, a restructure where one decision changes the next, or a question you would expect a colleague to go away and come back on. For looking up a number, checking a date range or asking a follow-up, Light or Balanced will give you the same answer sooner.
